A great thing happened to me, when I was referred to Dr. Bowden and his wonderful staff. From the very first appointment, my fears were put to an end. He listened to me and my complaints and needs, and as a result he put together a plan to restore my vision and my freedom. With a customized plan just to meet my personal visual needs, Dr. Bowden went to work. Multiple tests and exact measurements were taken right in the office. The surgery was done one eye at a time. The surgery staff was phenomenal. The recovery time was swift, and the discomfort was minimal. I was only off work the day of surgery and the next day for my return appointment. The minute the eye guard was removed the next day, I was blown away! Colors were popping and clear crisp objects popped into view. I sat down to read the eye charts that I could barely see before and it was unbelievable, I could read the last line! Not only could I see across the room to read the clock I could read the entire eye chart. “Quick!” I asked, “Give me a magazine.” I opened the book and began to read. It was such a relief and happy feeling that I can not find words to express my personal joy. Here I am actually reading a magazine and I don’t require any glasses!

The next day came the challenge of driving. “Unbelievable!” The difference is astonishing”. As I drove down Atlantic to Arlington and Downtown, facing oncoming headlights, tears formed in my new eyes. I could completely see- ALL my night vision is back and I am so, so very grateful. My days of being stuck at home are over. I would do it all over again, only sooner. Dr. Bowden’s staff treated me with dignity and friendliness. The care was superb.
